Accessibility

We aim to make as many of the PERFORMING DEMOCRACY festival’s events as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. We are not yet able to provide accessible options for everyone’s needs, and we are aware that not all venues are equally accessible. However, we want to learn from this experience for future editions of the festival and welcome your feedback: produktion.festival@ewerk-freiburg.de

Relaxed Performance
Both performances are relaxed performances: Audience members are welcome to leave the venue at any time and return. Noises and movements are welcome. At the beginning, Claire Cunningham will explain the various lighting and sound levels.

Seating is unassigned for these performances. There will be fewer people in the auditorium than at other performances, and doors open earlier. The house lights will remain slightly dimmed throughout the performance. Alternative seating options are available. We also offer earplugs in the foyer.

A quiet room is available before, during, and after the performance on the 1st floor of the E-WERK Freiburg. It is accessible by elevator. Foyer staff will show you the way.

An information desk with detailed information about sensory stimuli will open in the foyer of the E-WERK one hour before the performance begins.

Audio Description
For this production, a recorded audio description is available via headphones. You can choose between German and English.

Before the performance on May 7, we are offering a tactile tour at 6:30 pm. Please register in advance by emailing: ottmann@ewerk-freiburg.de

German Sign Language (DGS)
The performance on May 6 will be interpreted into German Sign Language (DGS) by a deaf performer together with a DGS interpreter.
