THE MOVEMENT reaches its pinnacle in a spectacle for the whole family. At the Freiburg Gymnastics Association’s stadium, the historic tradition of the sports festival is carried into the future. To the pulsating beat of a marching band, countless sports groups and clubs showcase their disciplines. While enjoying French fries and ice cream, the audience experiences the strength, precision, and achievements of the athletes through their performances. Speeches will highlight the significance of sports and its civilizing effect on society. For even more than athletic victory, it is how we handle defeat that makes sports the moral institution of our time. Together, we bid farewell to the theater and step onto the field of sports. A celebration for art ultras and sports audiences alike, hosted by SC Freiburg’s stadium announcer, Julica Goldschmidt.
